Some form of exercise is vital to us all for our bodies to function well. Without sufficient release through physical activity, tension mounts and turns into
bound energy, pulling and tearing inside our bodies. The outcome of that is stress-
induced illness which covers a wide range of symptoms such as feeling sluggish, poor mobility, even worse than that, obesity,diabetes, high blood pressure and a host of other problems.

Exercise does not have to be a chore, boring or torture, you just have to set reasonable goals for yourself, those that are not too far out of your reach to begin with. Sedentary living is no good for anyone however, physical activity is normal and brings about a feeling of well-being.
 
Your mind plays a big part in any exercise regime, it is the easiest option to do nothing so whether your choice be swimming cycling, running walking, or any other form of activity try to think of it in a positive way and realise what you will gain from  it, for example:

A diversion from other concerns  -  Enjoyment of the natural environment.
Joy  -  exhilaration  -  Time for contemplation, thought and planning  -  Solitude when you are alone, friendship when you are with others. -  Challenge  -  Release of tension  - Increased energy, healthy weight.
